A meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs between PMR Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev and Izabela Sylwia Hartmann, Acting Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Vitaly Ignatiev and First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development Sergey Obolonik met with Thomas Lenk, Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Opening the discussion, the PMR Foreign Minister emphasized the need to establish a balanced basis for representatives of the Organization’s member states to obtain reliable information on the current state of the negotiation process, including in the context of the upcoming meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council in Vienna.
On May 14 of this year, following a two-year pause, a meeting of the expert (working) groups of Pridnestrovie and Moldova on regulatory, legal, and document support for citizens was held via videoconference.
During the discussion, the Pridnestrovian side noted the emergence of new issues regarding the documentation of citizens, caused by unilateral and uncoordinated decisions by Moldovan authorities. Specifically, it relates to the refusal to issue citizens with original paper documents. An increasing number of Pridnestrovians are facing such problems.
A meeting of the Expert (Working) Groups on Economic Issues was held at the OSCE Mission office in Chisinau, attended by representatives of the mediators and observers.
The main topic of the meeting was Moldova’s planned measures to impose additional fiscal burdens on economic entities in Pridnestrovie.
The Pridnestrovian side expressed dissatisfaction that, contrary to the invitations sent earlier, the meeting took place after the Moldovan Parliament had already adopted the relevant bill and was largely focused on crisis response.
Today, a meeting between the chief negotiators from Pridnestrovie and Moldova took place at the OSCE Mission office in Tiraspol, attended by representatives of the mediators and observers.

On April 3, a videoconference was held between relevant experts from Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova, during which they discussed issues related to the maintenance and preservation of the Dniester River ecosystem.
The dialogue on preventing the pollution of the Dniester River and its tributaries by untreated wastewater continued. The Pridnestrovian side emphasized the need to implement concrete measures to eliminate sources of water pollution, including through projects to renovate existing and construct new wastewater treatment facilities on the Dniester River.
On March 27, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs between PMR Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev and Izabela Sylwia Hartmann, Acting Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova.
During the dialogue, the diplomats reviewed the outcomes of several significant recent visits conducted under the auspices of the OSCE, in particular those by the Special Representative of the Chairperson-in-Office, Thomas Lenk, and the Vice-President of the Parliamentary Assembly, Kyriakos Hadjiyianni.
Today, a videoconference was held between experts from Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova in the fields of phytosanitary and veterinary medicine.
Given the current trends associated with a significant rise in fuel prices, Pridnestrovian experts proposed exploring the possibility of importing into the republic the most affordable plant protection products – in terms of pricing – needed by agricultural producers during the current planting season. Pridnestrovie also proposed conducting a comparison of the current registries of veterinary drugs authorized for import.

Today, as a continuation of the dialogue between the political representatives of Pridnestrovie and Moldova, an online meeting of the expert (working) groups on transport and road infrastructure development was held.
A key topic of the meeting was the need to reinstate, as provided for in the Protocol Decision of April 24, 2018, the eligibility for registration in the VROs of vehicles imported into Pridnestrovie after September 2018. The current agreement explicitly provides for such a mechanism, while car owners’ interest in this option continues to grow.
Following up on the discussion initiated during the meeting with PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted talks between Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev and a delegation of heads of diplomatic missions, including Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium Evert Marechal, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark Soren Jensen, Ambassador of Ireland Myles Geiran, and Ambassador of Italy Giuseppe Maria Perricone.

The Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting of the Minister Vitaly Ignatiev with the Head of the Official Representative Office of the Republic of South Ossetia in Pridnestrovie Vitaly Yankovsky.
Today, a meeting of expert (working) groups on economic issues was held at the OSCE Mission office in Bendery in the presence of mediators and observers.
The agenda included topics related to the unjustified imposition of customs duties on economic agents in Pridnestrovie and obstacles to the export operations of some Pridnestrovian enterprises.
It was noted that the restrictive measures imposed by the Republic of Moldova are one of the factors provoking inflationary processes in Pridnestrovie and negatively affecting the budget of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
Today, at the initiative of the Pridnestrovian side, the only meeting of expert (working) groups on health care issues this year took place at the OSCE Mission office in Bendery. It should be emphasised that Pridnestrovie had previously repeatedly proposed organising consultations at the expert level, but representatives of the Republic of Moldova did not confirm the possibility of holding them.
On December 9, the sixth meeting of the year between specialists from Pridnestrovie and Moldova on education issues was held via videoconference.
This issue is of paramount importance for Pridnestrovie, as it is directly related to ensuring and protecting the rights, interests, and opportunities of pupils, students, and graduates of educational institutions in the PMR, as well as to creating conditions for their successful education and further professional development.
Today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as part of ongoing systemic bilateral contacts, hosted a meeting between the Pridnestrovian Foreign Minister, Vitaly Ignatiev, and the Acting Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova, Izabela Hartmann.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted the meeting between Minister Vitaly Ignatiev and the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office’s Special Representative Thomas Lenk. The Acting Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova, Isabella Hartmann, also took part in the meeting.
During the meeting, a wide range of pressing issues related to cooperation with the OSCE Mission team in Moldova were discussed, including freedom of movement, human rights, as well as the planning of joint projects and events.
The MFA representatives drew special attention to the problems faced by Pridnestrovian citizens at Chisinau airport. In particular, cases of pressure, aggressive behavior, and threats to personal security on the part of Moldovan law enforcement agencies were highlighted.
