Today, a videoconference was held between environmental experts from Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova.
A wide range of issues was discussed, with the parties focusing primarily on the condition of the Dniester River ecosystem. In the context of the sustainable use of the river’s aquatic biological resources, the experts agreed to exchange hydrometeorological data in a timely manner in order to synchronize the fishing ban periods on the Dniester during the spawning season.

On June 12, an off-site meeting of the expert (working) groups on education was held in Rybnitsa, with the participation of representatives of mediators and observers in the negotiation process. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the issue related to the unfinished building located at 14 Gagarin Street.

A new stage in the work of the Council of Young Diplomats of the PMR Foreign Ministry has officially begun.
During the meeting, the Council members discussed the priorities for joint work through the end of the current year and exchanged views on the Council’s development in the near future.
The Council was established to serve as a platform for engaging youth in the field of international relations, facilitating the exchange of experience, and implementing educational and cultural projects related to foreign policy issues.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a meeting between Minister Vitaly Ignatiev and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Moldova, Margret Uebber. The diplomat had previously visited Pridnestrovie, this is the second and final visit in her current designation.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Vitaly Ignatiev held a meeting with the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in Pridnestrovie, Alexander Vataman.
During the conversation, Alexander Vataman conveyed warm wishes and words of gratitude on behalf of the leadership of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Pridnestrovian authorities for their constructive cooperation and efforts to strengthen the partnership between the two countries.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a meeting between Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev and a delegation of permanent representatives of the Nordic-Baltic Eight (NB8) to the OSCE. The discussion was attended by diplomats from Denmark, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Finland, Sweden, and Estonia, as well as the Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova, Kelly Keiderling.

He outlined in detail the key geopolitical challenges for the republic, the ongoing impact of the conflict in Ukraine, and Moldova’s actions in energy and economy. He also spoke about Tiraspol’s position on European integration, its dialogue with Chisinau and the future of Pridnestrovie.

On April 24, 2025, a regular meeting of experts from Pridnestrovie and Moldova on educational issues was held via videoconference. The meeting was nearly disrupted due to a deliberate provocation by the Moldovan side, which attempted to involve a representative of a biased “non-governmental” organization from the Republic of Moldova in the session of the expert (working) groups – an official auxiliary mechanism within the settlement process.

Vitaly Ignatiev gave an interview to RIA Novosti. The diplomat spoke about the current state of the negotiation process, the reasons behind its stagnation, and outlined possible ways to restore full-fledged dialogue at all levels, including the work of the ‘5+2’ format. The minister also touched upon topics such as cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of the two sides, the consequences of Moldova’s expulsion of three Russian diplomats, the role of the EU in the regional space, and the fate of the ammunition depots in Kolbasna.

The Foreign Ministry considers the statement made by the Moldovan side regarding the education-related discussions to be inadequate and marked by the tone of crude, simplistic propaganda.
It should be recalled that Pridnestrovian side insisted on an in-person meeting with Moldova’s political representative on April 8, largely with the aim of presenting to the Moldovan representatives a clear and comprehensive explanation of the necessary steps, offering three practical options for resolving the issue of a new lyceum building in Rybnitsa.

Another attempt by the office of the political representative of the Republic of Moldova to mislead the public regarding the planned meetings of the Expert (Working) Groups has been noted.
We emphasize – there are no Expert (Working) Groups or subgroups on statistical issues. Accordingly, the activities of a non-existent body could not, in principle, have been the subject of discussion at the meeting of political representatives on April 8.

Today, a meeting between the chief negotiators from Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova, Vitaly Ignatiev and Oleg Serebrian, took place at the OSCE Mission office in Bendery. The discussion previously disrupted by the Moldovan side was made possible through the efforts of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office’s Special Representative Thomas Lenk and the Head of the OSCE Mission Kelly Keiderling, both of whom, along with the Russian Federation representative, personally participated in the meeting.

Today, on 31 March, the mass media have disseminated statements by the law enforcement officials of Moldova alleging that a member of the Moldovan Parliament, Mr. Nesterovschi, is hiding on the territory of Pridnestrovie.
This is to officially inform that the law enforcement authorities of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic have no information as to Mr. Nesterovschi’s presence on the territory of Pridnestrovie.

The diplomat spoke about the current situation in Pridnestrovie, as well as the negative impact of the “prolonged pause” in the negotiation process, during which “the Moldovan side is doing everything possible to undermine the dialogue mechanisms”.

On March 18, at the initiative of the Pridnestrovian side, the session of Expert (Working) Groups on Economic Issues was held at the OSCE Mission Office in Tiraspol, in the presence of the OSCE and Russian Federation mediators.
The agenda of the meeting focused on organizational and legal issues of interaction between Pridnestrovie and Moldova in the gas and energy sector.
Both sides agreed on the need to preserve a stable legal regime for the supply of raw materials that takes into account the current risks and needs of Pridnestrovian consumers.

The main goal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2024 was to counteract by diplomatic means the destructive steps of the Republic of Moldova, as well as to prevent the escalation of region-wide instability and to ensure the security of Pridnestrovian citizens.

On 7 March, at the initiative of the ICRC Delegation representatives in the Republic of Moldova, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a meeting of PMR Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev with Walter Jeanty, Head of the ICRC Delegation. 

Greeting the guests, Vitaly Ignatiev described the situation in Pridnestrovie since the beginning of the year – the outbreak and development of the energy crisis, its negative impact on the social, humanitarian and economic spheres, as well as the measures taken by the state to stabilize the situation and ensure energy sustainability in the future.

Today, on February 28, at the initiative of the Pridnestrovian side, an on-site meeting of Expert (Working) Groups of Pridnestrovie and Moldova on educational issues took place in Rybnitsa in the presence of the negotiation process representatives of mediators and observers. 
During the visit, the experts, together with senior officials of State Administration of Rybnitsa District and Rybnitsa City, inspected the unfinished building at Gagarin Street, 14. The parties agreed to work together on the feasibility of using the premises for educational purposes.

Today, at the initiative of the Pridnestrovian side, an online meeting of the transport and road expert (working) groups was held. The meeting focused on issues related to the operation of the Vehicle Registration Offices in Tiraspol and Ribnitsa, along with a number of other topics of interest.
